General Surgery

Remember to spay and neuter your pets! All but the simplest surgeries are performed in the operating room under strict aseptic conditions. The surgical team includes one of our doctors, and a technician who ensures that the surgeons have the equipment and materials necessary to perform the surgery. With a combined 53 years of experience in small animal surgery, you can be assured that your pet will be in great hands

Orthopedic Surgery

An orthopedic injury refers to damage to the skeletal system or associated muscles, joints and ligaments. Here at Hidden Hills Animal Hospital we offer a variety of surgical procedures to help with orthopedic injuries. Such surgeries consist of ACL repairs, FHO surgery, and fracture repairs.

Laser Surgery

We are pleased to offer an exciting new option to traditional surgery. Laser surgery is a safe, comfortable treatment. The benefits of Laser surgery are substantial. There is minimal bleeding, quicker recovery, and there is less pain for the patient. Laser surgery can be used for spays, neuters, growth removals, de-claws, and much more.

Radiographs
What better way to understand your animal, than to see what is actually going on inside of them? Our equipment is able to perform a variety of x-rays for all of our patients.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound offer a non-invasive, non-painful method for the diagnosis and staging of many diseases. For most cases, we rely on a board-certified practitioner who performs the exam at our hospital.

Dental Care

Bad breath in pets is often joked about, but it is not a laughing matter. Dental disease affects up to 80% of pets over the age of three, and just like humans, there can be serious consequences of poor dental health. Our practice uses an ultrasonic scaler tool and high-speed polisher to make sure that your animal has the perfect smile, and the best breath! We offer dental cleaning, polishing and if needed extractions.

On-site Laboratory

Saving time while trying to figure out what is wrong with your pet is important. Therefore, we are able to perform a variety of test in our laboratory such as: checking electrolyte levels, blood chemistries, blood counts, thyroid test, and complete urinalysis.

Pharmacy
There is no need to make trips to an outside pharmacy when we keep a full stock of all the medications that your pets will need.

Preventive Health Care

Your veterinarian is best qualified to assure you that your new friend is healthy and to administer the necessary vaccinations. At the same time, you can discuss proper nutrition and feeding, surgical sterilization, other preventive health measures, and grooming needs.

Exotic Pets

With a special interest in exotic medicine, Dr. Hart sees birds and other exotic pets, such as rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, smaller rodents and reptiles. We not only treat sick exotic pets, but also advise owners about preventative care/wellness medicine for them, including proper diets, environment, and behavior.

Wildlife Care
Dr.Hart aids in help with injured and orphaned wildlife animals. Our hospital works with several local rehabilitators in protecting and caring for all forms of wildlife.

Vaccinations

As responsible pet owners it is your obligation to provide your pets with proper vaccinations beginning with the all-important puppy and kitten vaccination series all the way through to adulthood vaccinations. The staff of Hidden Hills Animal Hospital will provide all the proper vaccinations to help protect your pet and your family against disease.

Check out our supply toys, treats, and animal supplies! We carry a large variety of food: Iams (Eukaneuba), Hills Science and Prescription Diet, Purina, Royal Canin, Harrison's Bird food, and more! Between food bowls, vitamins, shampoos, nail trimmers, and bedding, Hidden Hills Animal Hospital has everything you need to keep your pet happy.

Microchipping

Did you know that one in three pets at some point will get lost during their lifetime? To help give your pet the best chance of being identified should they ever become lost, have him/her implanted with the Homeagain microchip. The Homeagain microchip is a small transciever placed under the skin between the shoulder blades with a specific number linked to the owners name and address. Most veterinary clinics and shelters carry a microchip scanner that can easily identify a lost pet with a Homeagain microchip. Homeagain microchips offer the easiest and most effective way to identify your pet.

Boarding

Don't leave your pet home alone; let us take care of them when you cant be there. We offer year round boarding in climate controlled facilities for dogs, cats, and exotics. Our canine and some reptile guests receive exercise 3 times a day, along with all animals recieving clean bedding, food, water as needed and any medications required.
